During the first lockdown I discovered surreal fine art photography. Being a big fan of Magritte, apart from actually living in Belgium, the country of Surrealism, has added to the attraction. I generally pride myself in using little to no help from a post production program to create my images. Yes, I will tweak the colours and contrast and remove some bothering details here and there but for the rest it’s… what you see is what you get.

Architecture has always mesmerized me. In fact after finishing secondary school I even considered becoming an architect but in the end the call of the fine arts was stronger. Now I console myself with taking pictures of the most beautiful architectural constructions on this planet. The fact that I love travelling comes in handy there.
Maybe it’s my Asian side, maybe it’s just part of who I am. I don’t like cluttered spaces and that also sometimes translates into the images I take. Simple to the point of being void or repetetive, avoiding al unnecessary details and letting the basics shine out and sparkle.
